25 yrs to be classic?

I heard that in 25 years a car or truck becomes a classic. I have a 1983 Chevy pickup (still runs) so in 4 years will it be worth 10 million dollars or somthing?

Actually in Texas it does qualify for a "Classic" tag after 25 years.

sudzinabucket just because it's a classic our even an antique that doesn't make it more valuable. It's just makes it cost more to buy parts for it.... :p

Here in IL it's 25+ years to qualify for 'Classic' tags, and 50+ years old to be able to get the 'Antique' designation.

WELCOME TO THE BOARD!

Its 25-years here in AZ. You still have to go to emissions though (Phoenix area and Tucson).
No emissions if 1966 and older (website here)
You can get the plates, but I dont know if there is anything else you get.
Here they are called Historic Vehicle Plates

Mine's 31 years old. Got a Georgia 'Antique Beehikle' tag on it.
Still have to pay taxes on it though.

10 million?

Heck I wouldn't take a million for my old 73....but I'd be 'real' tempted by 10 MILLION

iirc, in OK it's 20yrs for a classic and 30 for an antique. of course with tagging it as an antique you are limited to when/where you can drive and how many miles you can put on it per year, and i think that is like 2k miles

a classic tag is cool, but not if i have to quit driving my truck or can only drive it in parades, etc
