Yeah I got the cash option too. That means when "I" win they cut it to 60 million, and then after taxes "I" will probably net about 30 million. It's going to be tough to live off of that, but I'm going to try...

I've got 5 of my #'s and 10 quickpicks for it. Played Megamillions last night, it was 100 million, and nobody won, it'll be 122 million on friday, I think. Some guy in front of me today bought $100 in quickpicks! Crazy.

I don't play. I figure if my chances are zero in 50 million, 1 in 50 million, or 10 in 50 million, it is all the same. The lottery is a waste of money. I'll spend my money on tangible things rather than dreams.
The whole concept bothers me because it ends up being a tax on the poor. The people I know who spend the most money on it are the ones who can least afford it. Oh, well. They are adults, and can spend their money as they see fit. Can you tell that I don't really think much of it? Slonaker |

My girlfriend played in the last drawing and she didn't win, maybe she'll feel better since no one else one either. I probably wont get around to getting any tickets myself though.

Personally I don't play either..... but when it gets this high, I'll get some quick picks just for the chance. I don't ever expect to win, but if it happened.... I wouldn't turn it down. When my parents lived in Garland, some neighbors about 10 houses down from them won the lotto back in the early 90's. They didn't go crazy.... they just remodeled their house, bought new cars for the family, got a boat, & made sure they had enough to cover their kids college educations. My parents moved shortly after so I don't know how the 'winners' are doing after several years. From what I've seen on some TV reports about past winners, it can be a tough adjustment.
