Suspension question

I'm going to replace the springs and shocks on my Jimmy and take it back to original ride height (maybe a 1 or 2" drop haven't decided). I'd eventually like to get 20's under it so I definetly don't want to lower it too much and have them not fit.

Will 20's fit under with any sort of drop? (picture would be nice)
Where would you buy your springs and shocks? I've searched the vendors and most everyone seems to be priced pretty much the same. Are there differences in springs? Forgive my ignorance. Just learning

Ahhh every body has lost interest in those ol Jimmy's. You should sell it....to ME.

Is it the same hight as those pictures? I really like the stance. Those years look great down low with the top off but top on they look a little funny low. Just always drive it wit hte top off and leave it home when it rains (and it seems nonstop the last week doesn't it?)

hehe.. I just bought it so I think I'll keep it. I need to replace the springs. They have been cut to drop it and when looking it now they are completely compressed. I figure I'd just replace the shocks while I'm doing it also.

If I can get 20" Torq Thrust II's under it with a 1 or 2" drop I might, I just figure it'd ride a little better at the stock height

Bag it.

That truck with the control arm rear and coils on all four os so easy to bag. Then you can dump it in the dirt at crusie night at Town center for the show and air it back up for the ride home.

There are plenty of 2wd blazers & trucks riding on 20's. I'm with Grim, bag it.

Ok.. where do I find information on this install? How many parts do I need and how hard is it? I've found sites that sell the bags but they don't say what all I need to do the install. or I'm blind

I found this link with airlift company. Don't know if I want to spend $1400 before it's even installed.

I've seen plenty of 2wd blazers with a 4 inch drop in the front and six in the back drop, looks real nice on 20's. I'm with you on bagging it, it might be worth it.... but that's alot of money.

Check with board member "Alexis", I believe he has the 4:6 with 20's combination. He is also the one with the rollbar on his 2wd blazer, I remember you asked about this awile ago.

Can't wait to see 20's on "MY" Jimmy.

I'm thinking right now it's gonna get a 2" drop with new springs and shocks. The cost of bagging it is kinda high and the install doesn't look very easy so I could imagine labor costs on that would be pretty high. I don't think a DIY install is within my means right now

Will an airbag kit fit on all 4 corners without any mods to the frame? I am building my frame with springs right now but once its done I was planning on putting airbags but I don't want to hack up the frame.
