Crate Motor Part Number Help
I have a crate motor about 5-6 years old. Its the $1300 Goodwrench 350.
When I called around for a damper they of course asked the year and model, etc. When I told the guy it had the crate motor he wanted to know the number of the motor. I didnt know this. I told him the crate motor and price and thought he could go from there. He brought up a different damper for the crate then the stock 305, the stock 350. He told me the newer crate motors have some different (improved) parts. I think I need a couple new valve stem seals and want to know if they are the same on these crate motors as they are on the original motor. Anyone know? Also what other differences might there be from the crate to original? Anyone else ran across differences when buying parts from the dealer? Please see my other thread about oil in cylinder. Thanks!

Phoenix,
Try going to the pace performance web site. the sell all different types of GM crate motors. You can have a completly differnt motor than the stock. I have a 350 h.o. dulex in my 75'. It came with vortec heads. Did you buy the motor or was it already in the truck when you got it? |

Im pretty positive this is the one I have: P/N: 10067353
Its not anything special, just the cheapy 5.7L Factory Replacement. http://www.paceparts.com/product.asp?0=343&1=360&3=3169 The information listed on the www.paceparts.com website should help when going to the dealer to get parts. I need to find the numbers on my engine to fully confirm they are the same. I also need to get on my dad about digging up the old receipt for the motor to see if it has a p/n on it.

The engine number is 10067353. The seals are the same as any stock 350. Remember, this engine is just like any other stock 350 you would find, except for the dual dipstick locations.
