New to this site (kind of)

This is my first post as DMNCLNR I used to frequent this site about 4 years ago with another SN, that seems to be non existant! anyway ive been lurking a little and wanting to post so this is my first official post!
A little about me, I am supposedly getting a 72 2wd blazer, keeepin my fingers crossed. I had a deal and got my plane tickets to go pick it up, and the guy decides that he wants 2 times the amount after everything was square! too bad I leave thursday! So imnnew and im already ranting. But this situation sucks, and the guy is actually being pretty cool about it i guess, so i said atleast give me dibs obn the truck! So i think hes going ot let me do a payment plan for the remainder of the cash. NO worries, cause the 1st price was a steal, and its still worth 3x what he wants! Hopefully i will once again be one of you.. i have owned 4 4x4 blazers, 3 72's and a 71! CANT WAIT TO GET BACK INTO IT!

Sorry about the problems man. I would think a deal is a deal, but you seem to be o.k. with the situation even with the price increase. Hope all goes well with the purchase, and Welcome from Atlanta GA.

I believe in when the deal was made the guy should stand by it.

If you are flying there to pick it up, I have to ask...will he raise the price again when you get there and don't have a ticket to fly home?

Well he ended up only raising the price a little, but he is keeping his engine. It was a built 454 that hasnt been started in 14 yrs. honestly i dont care about the engine, besides it would have been nice to trade it for a 350. I have pics, and wil try and figure out how to post them right now! on my V.W thread, you just stick em in the gallery then cut and paste. is that how it works here?

Yes the deal defintily sucks, but the blazer is what i want and IMO is still worth what i paid! ANyway my question now is...
The moter had a 454 in it, and has a turbo 350 trans. will a 305 from an 84 chevy caprice bolt up properly? i dont know if the 2 bolt will bot up into a 4 bolt main, or if it even is a 2 bolt! i am just assuming that it is. I know the 305 is not hte best of engines, but just to get home. the 305 is in a running car right now, and runs good.
thanks in advance!

Welcome back again, from WA state. What was your SN before? You can post pics on here real easy if they are not over like 80K or something. Just pick their location on your hard drive and load them up under the "manage attachments" tab when you post thread or reply. It does take a little while to load them, and if it tells you its too big, you can shrink it on your computer with Paint and then try to upload again. Bouncy can do this for you or I can too. Just email us the pics and we'll post them. Welcome again, Jeff.

You need to hit the "post reply" button above the "quick reply" box to see the manage attachments section.
