Muffler shop in Dallas area?
Can anybody recommend a good custom exhaust shop in the Dallas area? I am willing to pay for a guy who takes pride in his work and will do what I ask. I'm tired of shops telling me, "We know best, you really don't want that, blah, blah, blah." The last shop I used put horribly crimped bends in the pipes, didn't care about appearance from the rear, and generally treated me like I was asking way too much from them. Hey, it's just an old truck, right? Why would you care if one tailpipe is lower than the other?

Mike, I'm f@%king anal about stuff like that. Try Muffler King in Dallas off of Garland Rd./Jupiter 214.328.4669 as they have done a couple of my previous rides & I was pleased w/the results. Lately I have delt w/Triple 'A' Muffler on my 68 Beater because they are closer to home. They have 3 locations & the crew @ the S.Garland shop get my vote of confidence. I explained about wanting the exhaust up as close as possible to the frame w/o any rubbing & how I wanted everything to look level. In & out in 1hr. I even went back 1yr later because the collector gasket/bolts had come loose & I noticed a small exhaust leak...& they fixed it for free(hey I figured 10-20 bucks would be worth not skinning my knuckles up so free was even better). I went home, grabbed a 12pk out of the fridge & brought it back up there to them. They are about 1/4 mile north of 1-30 on Broadway(near the DMV offices). 972.271.6013 Hope this helps your search.

If you call Flowmaster, They have a list of authorized distributors/Installers in the Dallas Area...There was a guy I think down off of I-30 in Mesquite, that was the place to go back in early '90 when I lived there, He was a stocking Dealer of Flowmaster, and was the first guy to have a Mandrel bender in Dallas, because he was so picky himself,...He did all the street race cars at the time...
