69-70 Grill Questions

I know that this may not be the appropriate place to post this, but I have a question about the 69-70 Chevy outer grill. The first question is: What kind of metal is it constructed of? Is it aluminum, stainless steel...? The second question is can these particular grill shells be chrome plated? I know that some metals can't be plated so I was wondering if the grill could be chromed.

Thanks!

they are "bright Anodized" aluminum

I have seen a few plated and they look great, but if you go that roure be ready to open your pocket book real wide because it won't be cheap.

I think if you are willing pay the money any metal can be plated (well - maybe not mercury).
