Wanted: "hockey puck" cab clearance lights

Just as the title says, I'm looking for a set of 5 "hockey puck" style clearance lights in good shape. Wiring and bulbs are a plus.

Thanks

Damn! I wish I knew you were lookin' for a set of these. I knew where there was a set still on a cab locally, but I'll need you to e-mail me back to let me know if you still need them so i can go back to see if they're still there...

RPOZ11, if you can see if the cab is still there, and how much they want for 'em, let me know. I wanted a set of original ones, but I'll check at Napa, etc and see how cheap those are.

by the way....the Napa ones are identical to the originals. They have the same GM part number cast into the plastic even. How's that for original?

Those aren't the "hockey puck" style lenses. The hockey puck style came on the larger trucks and also came on light trucks optioned with marker lights in the first year or two of production (for the option) which is believed to be 69 and 70. Some have seen the roof bump cab lights appear as early as '68 on some trucks, which is believable. However, Hockey pucks look different...they look like, well...hockey pucks. cylindrical and have a flat top. They are hard to find in good shape, every one I have ever seen is cracked.

That being said, I replaced the partial set of cracked hockey pucks with the newer style pictured above. IMO they compliment the trucks looks better. I am at work and will try to find a pic, if not I can take a pic of one of my old lenses. hth

There are 2 style lenses, both factory installed, depending on year.

1969 was first year of hockey puck (raised roof pads - not a reference to lens shape ) clearance lights on c10-30 trucks. This year and 1970 used the flat-topped style lens 1969 GMC references and Olden days shows pic of. These are not readily avalable new and used ones are generally cracked and/or faded. 71/72 used the teardrop style (or if you prefer NAPA-issue ). These are interchangeable with the earlier 69/70 style and can be bought off-the-shelf new.

Of course there will always be an exception even though GM would never make mid-year run production changes.

67/68 had no factory installed clearance lights (10-30 series) but you could get dealer installed teardrop-shaped units.

Yep, the flat-top lights are what I'm looking for 'cause they've got that old school look. If I can't get the flat-top ones I'll just go for the newer ones.

Sorry on my mistake.
I always find this board interesting. You are wanting old school and I am looking at the marker lights from a 2004. Single outer lights and the three center in a bar.
