Moving!! Must Sell- 1970 Jimmy 4wd, pics added

SALE PENDING...

Relocating to Idaho and unfortunately I need some funds to assist with that and can't take all of the vehicles with me.

1970 GMC Jimmy 4wd, 350 4spd. Runs excellent, I've been using it as my daily driver for the past 4 months and have not had a problem. Only reason I'm selling is to finance the 93 big block suburban I just picked up yesterday (need a better tow vehicle for the move).

Jimmy is very straight. Paint shows pretty well but has some clear coat peeling in spots. Only rust is in the passenger rocker and a small spot on the top of the driver rocker near the weather stripping. I have crawled all over this thing and have also had the rocker box rear covers off. There is no other rust.

Before I started using it as a DD, I completely went through the wiring under the dash and engine compartment. The hacked up under the dash harness was replaced with a very nice uncut harness. Everything operates as it should.

Edelbrock 1406 and a HEI ignition top off the motor and it runs great.

Transmission was rebuilt Novemeber of last year and is tight.

Wheels are Mickey Thompson Classic (not the cheaper Classic IIs) with BFG 31" a/t tires (50%)

New dash pad installed and I have new carpet (front portion) to put in but haven't yet and will not have time.

Yes, I realize pictures will help and I'll have some posted tonight.

I need to get $4500 or best offer, I have over $5K into it at this point. Somebody help me out! I'm leaving in less than two weeks!

I'd be happy to offer up additional pics, just make the request and be specific. Had it shined up but needs washed!

K5, i know there used to be a guy in the sandpoint area and theres a guy in lewistink area that has one like ours and has a 500 caddy in it. But i agree... we could be the smallest population state on the board.

Glad to see I can help boost the Idaho chevy truck population. If anyone between Colorado and Idaho wants this Jimmy, I could probably work out some delivery. And you bet, Idaho Falls will now be home sweet home! The sad part is I've really formed some great relationships with truck guys in my area but I'll look foward to forming some more!

Just wanted to say thanks again for all your help in buying that Blazer from Marvin a while back. What is the price on your Blazer ? I kinda remember seeing it when we were there. ?
Buddy of mine might be interested....how long yet till you move ?

mind a little get together except I do not know if there are enough members
with out including New England States. Very nice Blazer, makes me want one for my little collection, good luck on your sale! Mike

How is that project coming? I'm asking $4500 obo. I've actually already started work in Idaho and I'll be making trips back about every other week. There has been some interest but if I don't cut a deal soon, I'm going to hand it over to Marvin and he's going to market for me (set it on the corner!) Good to hear from you!

Suprised the Blazer hasn't sold already at that. My project is coming along very....slow unfortunately, but good news is found a 73 Blazer for next to nothing, so I'm robbing the front and rear seats, console and some other parts off it to throw in mine. Can't wait to start driving it. I'll let my buddy know that your's is still for sale, do you have any pics of the seats and interior posted anywhere ?
Best of luck with the new job and the move! Take care, that commute every few weeks can't be much fun. Say hi to Marvin for me.

Ya, the commute will not be a joy that's for sure. If your buddy is interested, I'll shoot some pics of whatever you want and send them your way the next time I'm in town. Probably the more reliable way to reach me will be email. Talk to you later!
