lokar shifters are great!
i got the socal one with the s curve. its the biggest one they make ( goes all the way to the top of the dash) but i love it! i have a boot for it but im gonna cover the ENORMOUS hole in the floor the previous owner cut for some cheapo shifter b4 i put the boot on.... hope you all like it!
youll also notice i got my wide rims/tires back on.... we replaced all the studs on the front right! the ugly steering wheel is going to be replaced soon also... im sticking a van/motorhome tilt in it with a new power steering box and the green door might stay there till i paint it... haha i also included a pic of the motor post new waterpump and after a new heater core. sprayed the whole firewall and the heater box... looks good doesnt it?

Looks like your previous owner used an axe or chainsaw to cut the floor out.
I've been using that Lokar shifter in one of my other old cars for years. I've found, that any part with the name "Lokar" on it will be the highest quality money can buy.

Thats a cool lookin shifter you got! You must crown it with something more fitting though. Can I ask what you paid?

I just finished up installing mine today. I went with the 18" that has the tapered knob. Also installed the billet shift boot ring with the indicator. I really like it. The indicator letters light up red and are real easy to see. I would go with another one for sure.

Cheapest place to get Lokar shifters is Speedway Motors. I paid 173 for mine, which was about 20 cheaper than any place else I could find.
