Buggin' me (carb ?)
I was talking to my friend's dad about 305/350 2barrel/4barrel, and i said something about "at least with a 2 barrel carb I'm getting better gas mileage than a 4 barrel". He said that was not exactly correct; a 2 barrel carb has 2 medium sized holes and a 4 barrel has 2 small holes and 2 large holes, and as long as you don't flog on it you can do just as good with gas mileage. This true? This is just a "curiosity" question, as i don't plan on changing my manifold ever, just wondering if his logic was correct.

Yup he is absolutly corect! if you drive around without opening the secondaires very oftern(which isnt Too Too hard) you will definatly get better milage then a 2 bbl

interesting. me and my dad guestmiate ol red had 145,000 before i started driving it, and ive put a couple grand on it, and supposedly the rule of thumb for a 305 is 160,000 miles, so i figure when i graduate high school (gonna be a junior as of next monday) i'll get a 350 crate engine
