FYI 1979 rear cclip axle will fit a 1972.

I got an axle from a 1979 blazer yesterdasy and put it in. It fit fine. moodyholler

Doesn't the '79 have staggered rear shocks and the '72 have non-staggered rear shocks? How did you bolt your shocks up?

Peanut

I used the axle itself, not the housing. No one would/could tell me whether or not it would work. So I tried it out and viola, I'm up and running again.moodyholler

moodyholler, is your Blazer a 4x4?

If so, that is great news as my '71 K5 needs axles and I have some later ones.

Moser axles are 264.00 to your door.

This price is for a pair. I have been fighting a bent axle for a year. I have replaced both driveshafts, four wheels and tires, axle bearings and seals. Hub of axle showed no runout, however, axle was bent about six inches from hub. Didn't find it until I took it out as I was going to start replacing bearings on carrier and pinion. Just my luck. Should drive a lot better. moodyholler
