Lower radiator hose help

I have ran across a problem that I need help with. I have 69 short step I moved the 350 up to the 'V8' mount position (the front 2 MM holes). I have the long water pump w/alternator on the passenger side. I had a lower radiatior hose that worked w/the V8 in the back position but it won't fit once I moved the motor forward. I went to two different auto parts stores and they both had a lower hose for like a 71 or 72 w/V8, but they don't work. What hose do I need? is my radiator different? the lower rad. hose outlet is just above the frame rail, 3 row. Any help or suggestions gladly apprecieated.

John,

You should be able to get a radiator hose to fit. I don't understand why you are have this problem since we have a 71 with long water pump and just used a 71 hose.

Is the lower outlet on your radiator angled up?

Yep, slight angle up. The hose I got is a 'V' shave w/a 90 degree and short after that. I get some pics later and see if that can help identify the problem.
