Squeal
Sometimes, not always, whenever I first start my truck and get up to about 45 or 50 miles an hour something begin to squeal a little bit. Then it just does it more rapidly the faster you go until something happens and it quits all together. It'll only do this for a minute or two.. I guess until something warms up. What could this be?

Maybe your alternator? If I've had to crank my truck a bit after I've started it, and have had electronics running when the truck is off, it'll squeal something nasty as the alternator belt slips, sounds like I am spinnin the tires if I accelerate around a corner and the alternator hasn't finished charging yet, lol

If it's coming from the engine compartment, Russell is likely correct. If not from under the hood, maybe a wheel/axle bearing or a a dragging brake shoe/pad. Good luck and keep on truckin'............Jerry
