TH400 noise
Ok my TH400 is making a whinning noise at idle and gets higher when applying gas. also when i put my truck in gear it makes it and it also takes a sec to engage to move. can anyone give me some ideas on what it might be.

I wouldn't doubt if the pump was going out the torq converter and flex plate were kinda messed up when you pulled them off. who knows how long they kept driving it like that im sure it didn't do it any good.

Sounds like its worn out My 400 in my 85 used to be slow to engage into reverse and it finally went out that problem was wear on the high gear band .

Ya it went out i had a tech look at it the tranny needs a rebuild.
