Installing a factory tach from GMC Pauls
Hopefully it will have arrived by the time I get out of work tonight. I'm pretty pumped up to put it in. Since I ordered it, I've seen that there are wiring harnesses for 67's and 68-72's. What is the difference? I have a 67' and I don't remember telling GMC pauls that I had a 67.
Also, is there anything I should know about hooking it up to my HEI? I read in some street rod wiring diagrams that tach filters are needed to read RPM's off of a tach. Does anyone know anything about that? Thanks!

The tach conversion isn't year specific. It only uses it's own 2 wire harness. One to the tach terminal on your hei and the other to the fuse panel for power. No need for any kind of an inline filter.
