brake calipers
the brake calipers i got for my swap have sat for a year and have light surface rust on them. they came off of a truck that had a medium size engine fire, dont think they got too hot though cause the tires were fine, well what i am asking is should i rebuild them or throw them on? are they hard to rebuild??? and how hot do you think they get under normal driving conditions??? would 1500 degree paint stay on fine???
thanks Ben

light surface rust is fine on them, just clean them up in areas and make sure the boots and seals arent damaged or anything

The "Brake Caliper" specialized paint that DupliColor makes for brake calipers, says it's rated to 500 degrees...so the 1500 degree spray paint should be more than fine,
