Saying goodby aint ever easy.....
I sold the ole 67 3/4 ton GMC today. I fondly refered to it as my Smurf truck!! The driveway will never look the same again... It will be going to a good home though and will always be taken care of!!

I hope my eyes are deceiving me, is that hooks bolted to the side of the bed Wes? My 68 GMC had those on it when I bought it, just removed them today. I was wondering who the heck would bolt those onto the side of the bed like that! Please tell me they didn't come factory like that.
Oh and gratz on the sale. I consider myself lucky to own one, I can't imagine owning so many that I don't have room for them all! |

No it didn't go to a board member. The person who bought it is my mail lady.. (her husband actually) These trucks did not come with those hooks from the factory. They were real common though, I have had 3 or 4 trucks with them. I just never removed them, because it would leave holes in the side of the bed. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Hey Wes I know how you feel Man. I have gotten pretty attached to my "smurf truck" too. It must be hard to let go of such a clean looking stocker like that. They ain't gettin any easier to come by. At least it will still be local for ya.

You can always make another like that for a smurf truck, but paint the top red and it will be the Papa Smurf truck.
