should be real easy, the blazer brackets/floor are completely flat. All you would need is a riser and you'd be done.

Maybe Joe (ElGracho) can post a pic of the brackets he has, then maybe you could fabricate your own. Just a thought.

will Suburban brackets fit? They have the humps in the floor like a pickup. The buckets have an armrest and recline as well.

They do have the humps, but not sure why. There is nothing under there.

Blazers have a "tilting" passenger seat (whole seat pivots forward on the front of the riser) up to I believe '87 or '88. After that the seat itself folds foward and you are closer I guess. Your truck will probably have a riser beneath the seat that a Blazer or Suburban won't. This is different than the tranny "hump". All Chev trucks 73-87 have the "hump" (I think). Like it was said above, if you can find a set of truck buckets you may be able to swap the risers from truck buckets to Blazer buckets, but this is only maybe.... I had a set of buckets out of a Suburban that was a "conversion" (read lots of foo-foo stuff including butt-ugly graphics) but they would not bolt to my Blazer risers. I fabbed a mounting plate to make them work temporarily.

So does this mean that the suburban buckets will fit in the trucks without any modification?

Like Jeff said, I've wrestled with this too. I can post pictures of the Gentleman Jim buckets I have, they are original for regular cab pickups. On pickups, the passenger seat is fixed to the floor and doesn't move with four little riser brackets. The drivers seat has tracks to allow it to move but they are unique to the regular cab pickups.
The crew cab and the suburbans have the same floor stamping for the front seats as was mentioned above so their seat tracks are a direct swap. The back seat of a crew cab is the same as a regular cab pickup. The blazer floor is flat and completely different than any other of these trucks so it has unique seat tracks. Note: I keep saying tracks, the seats themselves are all interchangeable (they have made buckets for our trucks with either no armrests, an inner armrest or two armrests on each seat). If you find a set of pickup buckets, no matter what shape they are in, get them and you can use the tracks, they are by far more valuable than even nice factory seats!

Truck- Brackets are unique to truck only applications. Blazer- Brackets are unique to Blazer only applications. Burb- Brackets are unique to Burb/Crewcab applications. CrewCab- Brackets are unique to Burb/Crewcab applications. The only brackets that will interchange are the Burb/Crewcab because they share the same floor. From what I have read/heard they WILL NOT fit anything else. Seats from any of these will work because the unbolt from the brackets. You must have "truck" brackets for the seats to mount correctly. Of course this all applies to factory brackets. You can fab a set to make almost any seat work.....

I was able to get my aftermarket seats in my truck to fit. They came out of a burb and I just tweaked the brackets a little bit to make it fit.

Guess I'll try to muddy the waters. :p I am trying to install Blazer buckets in a p/u using Suburban brackets and mounts.
I have discovered that the Sub mounts don't bolt directly to the Blazer buckets. They are close enough I can prolly use some flatstock to make the connection. I haven't looked at how the Suburban floor brackets fit the p/u floor yet. |

Try PN 14023889 and 14023890 for the bucket seat tracks. They may or may not be good numbers. Another thing I was wondering about is the console. My 73 had a big dip between the humps in the floor. How do you mount a console and have it match the seat height? Are the bucket seat tracks lower, and you could make a blazer/burb console work?

Looking at the APC sight, my guess the brackets are for the Racing Truck bench seats. That sight is pretty close to worthless though. When you click on the application link it only show a photograph.
