Dimmer Switch and Cruise Control Connection
I'm replacing my dimmer switch and I'd like to know if I need to remove anything to do so. It looks like I'll need to lower my steering column to reach the bolts, but is there anything that I need to watch out for? Also, I'm replacing the turn signal lever and I don't know how to run the cruise control wire down the column, nor do I know where to plug the connector in (the previous owner simply cut the wires at the lever, so I have nothing to follow). What do I need to remove in order to do this? Thanks, Chad.

Hello. Is there anybody in there?
Did I forget to open the window here or what? Hello? Sleepy head. Wake up, wake up wake up. Surely someone's got the knowledge and the compassion to give a brother some love here. Thanks, Chad.

The switch comes out after removing the 4 bracket bolts, hopefully the column will drop low enough. If not, you will have to loosen or remove the bracket on the firewall side, holding the column up. The rod should move up the column enough to get out. Think there are 2 bolts holding the switch on.

The cruise and wiper wires should run down the left side of the column. The directional switch, horn, hazard, etc.(cam) wires run down the right. If it was me, I would just remove the column and repair the column off the truck. I don't have cruise but could take a picture of the connectors under the column for you. You're probably going to have to go to a junk yard for the harness connectors.

Thanks John!
I'm gonna print out that schematic and use it, if that's ok with you. Thanks for the help, I haven't had high beams for a week now. Chad.

The original picture I had was too large to upload. If you need a bigger pic, just pm me your email and i'll email you the original size.
