Just about got this Holley under control, just about...

Alright, I am making progress on this Holley 700DP. Still need a little more help though.

We've got it where it will run. It will hold a steady throttle position, and it will idle if it is above 1100rpm's.

It sounds good when you rev it up, sounds clean(no spudering). But, anything below 1100rpm's and it dies.

I've tried putting different power valves in it. I've changed just about all of the gaskets. And nothing helps.

Anybody got any clues?

I have a 650 holley spreadbore double pumper that does the same thing...
Sure hope somebody knows the answer...
Runs awesome right up until it needs to idle. Acts like the idle circuit is non-existent.

Do you have the floats set right,and you might try dropping a couple of sizes in the jetting.

Do you see or smell any fuel smoke that might indicate it is running rich?

Yes there is a little smoke. I have a 69 jet up front and a 78 in the back. What should I drop them down to?
