longorn body question

I have a question on the body alingment of the longorns/camper specials.
I have spent the better part of yesturday trying to line up
the body lines on my lonhorn.
after lots of fustration i finaly put a level on the seam were the
additional section have been added. on the passenger side it is level down the side of the bed, but with a level on the top of the bed side theres a 1/4
inch drop, on the drivers side it goes up a quarter inch. as well as it dips in at the seam. any else seen this, if so how did you deal with it?

Regards,

has there been body work before? Accident repair maybe? Look on the back side of the panel for damage.
