Best way to determine if a frame is straight
I am looking for a shor box frame. I want to make sure it is not bent. What is the best way to determine if it has any damage?

I believe I read that Mothertrucker's has the specs and his local Furd dealer will check it for him? Maybe you can ask him for more details.

Yes, Ed at Mothertruckers has the specs from GM if you want to get it on a frame machine. The Ford dealership by him charges about $75.00 to check it. Short of that you can get a pretty good idea by using a tape measure. Accuracy and detail is the key here. Make some measurements in a "X" shape. Pick a point like where a crossmember intersect with the frame and measure from the top at that side to a point on the opposite side. Take two measurements from the top of the frame rail to the top and bottom of the other side. Now start at the other frame rail and using the same points measure again. The measurements should match or be pretty darn close. Forward and aft shifts of the frame will show up easier, if you are real accurate you can tell if there are some height isssues (side to side).
