SS Ex.

I have SS exhaust on one of my 4x4's. I took it off my '72 Vette when I sold it. The left side bolted right in. The right side had to be modified slightly to go around the xfer case xmember. It also has SS Borla mufflers on it. Way too quiet even though they're straight thru. I think I paid about $350 just for the pipes & clamps back around '82. That would make it about $700 now I would guess. The Borlas were pricey too, but I can't remember how much. The good news is, they last forever.

Does this make me a member of the "STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST CLUB" ?

I've put stainless on all my K20s. Custom bent stainless pipe and stainless mufflers from Allen's Stainless http://www.allencorvetteexhaustsystems.com

I put Borlas on my blue K20 and wasn't very happy with them. They have blown out twice. Borla did stand behind them, but they were still to noisy and I wound up putting additional mufflers in the tailpipes. The mufflers from Allens were much better. I knew about them from buying stainless Corvette systems.

Stainless is the way to go is you are going to have the truck for a very long time and don't mind spending some $$$. You should never have to mess with it again if you do it right.
