Stolen---swb---reward---FOUND IT!!!
This one is for real! Customer's beautiful '71 Chev short fleet metalic teal blue PU: air bagged, 20" wheels/tires. I don't have pics. Reward offered.
The truck was stolen on last Tuesday, on Pacific Ave (a major 4-lane street in Olympia, WA), in front of the dentist's office, between 12-1 noon, in broad daylight, on a clear day. The office was closed for lunch, but there were people in the building and in the area. No one saw or heard a thing! This seems too crazy to be true. I cannot figure how someone could do it and not be seen. Last edited by PICKMUP; 12-01-2004 at 01:42 AM. |

It's most likely out of state by now. I'm getting lojack on the stepside when it's done, I'm not giving up 5 years of hard work to some asshole that's too lazy to get an honest job. I'm really sorry to hear about your customer, I'd like to hear a happy ending. (like the suspect being beat'n to death)

Police got the truck!
You are not going to believe this. It's a "Stupid Criminals" story. The owners heard of a back alley automotive operation in the area and pressed the police to check it out.
The cops caught a girl driving the truck right here in Olympia (small town), where it was stolen. They are after the two guys that live in the house. A stolen Camaro was also found there. The truck is a mess! The Crooks/drugies shot it with grey primer, the wheels are gone, doors changed and the CAS stereo was replaced with another (and they cut the dash). They obviously sold off the quick $$$ items, but kept using the truck right here in town. The owner actually saw it on the streets, but just didn't recognize it. The nice blue doors did not come here, so if any show up in your area of the NW, let us know. That's all I know for now. The young man who owns it, was off to school, when all of this happened. I don't know if he will want to try and fix it now or just get rid of it. Thanks to all who kept an eye out for it. |

Keep it or dump it?
I don't know how the young man feels about his truck now. I am going to meet with him & his dad later this month and help them determine if they want to completely redo it or get rid of it.
I don't know if he really wants it again or not. |
