Shift Pattern
I have a 72 4X4 with I believe a np203or 208. Does anyone know the pattern that they go in. You know which is first in order down to last. Thanks

To have a 203 or 208 it would have been swapped in. The 203 is hi loc, hi, neu, low, low loc. Not sure on the 208 but the 205 should be (dash)4 lo, neu, 2 hi, 4 hi (seat).

I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone. 1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed. 1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm

A 208 would be 2wd 4hi neu 4low...

Lets get you straight first. You no doubt have an NP205. Only a stupid PO would have swapped in a 203/208. Check out Off Road Design's NP203/NP205 transfer case guide. Then compare with what you have under the 72. Report back as needed.
