'86 2wd Blazer in Vancouver, WA
Blazer
I talked to the guy today. 1986 4x4 converted to 2wd, 133,000 miles. Used truck for donor. All new front suspension parts, rebuilt 700R4 tranny, cut down and rebalanced driveshaft with new u-joints, overhauled rear-end (changed from 6 to 5 lug, made into posi, new bearings, etc), new brakes, 15 x 8 rims (rears have different off-set to make wider stance), new shocks, new exhaust, new bumpers, etc. all with less than 1000 miles. Sounds like a complete new drivetrain except engine. New heads (305) - doesn't leak or use oil Needs headliner, carpet (mainly because of hole from transfer case shifter), dash pad has one crack in it, tailgate has crack in sheet metal on one side. Said it was a very decent truck with decent original paint. Rear-side panels (interior) are in decent shape. $5500 with some wiggle room. I am not advocating this truck, just passing on information.
