Lift Help?
Ok Im wanting to put a set of 35's on my truck how much lift would it take to put them on i have a 1982 chevy longbed 4x4 with no lift

Safely without hitting fenders probably 6susp.
4susp. would work but might hit if the wheel offset is to much or they are wide tires.

I would guess a 4 inch. Now look at your finger and determine 2 inches...... A 6 would be nice if you are gonna wheel it at all. Not much difference in a 4 and a 6.

Lift..
You can get by with a 4in lift . I had 35's on 15x10 with a 2in lift a 1in body I did have to cut the front fenders.
Like Drink2mny said your wheel off set could be a problem but I have seen some ppl not have a problem at all. And good thing about a 4in is in most cases you will not have to have your rear drive shaft re-done. You should get the sterring arm. and take a good look at the brake lines see if they will have room to move.

dont wanna cut any fenders really or antyhnig but what about a 6inch lift will that do it oh yeah bad blazer

I would say if you went with a 6in you will have to get longger brake lines and have your rear drive shaft done.
Thanks on my old K5 I hated to sell that ride...My 72K5 will take a lot longger to build...

Not with just running 35's you should have a 10b right?..In the long run what are you going to do with it?

Tuff Country they have some soft spring rates. I like a lift that has some flex. And doesn't ride to much like a tank..lol

I have rough country on my 71 and heavy duty tuff country on my 70 and I'd say hands down the tuff country is better. the HD has a smaller spring rate than the rough country.Also, rancho springs are some of the stiffest around.

I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone. 1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed. 1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm |
