USA-1 Model
Does anyone besides me recall years back one of the plastic model companies released a 67-72 body "USA-1" 4x4 monster truck ? I believe it was white, either 71 or 72 year from the grill. I have been looking for a new unopened, unbuilt or even a "Nice" built model with no luck. Was it Revell, AMT, Monogram....? Any ideas on where to find such would be helpfull.

I had one of those years ago. White usa-1 never completed it, gone now.

I've been building models for many years and do remember a USA1 kit. The one I had and that they have reissued is the 89-up body style chevy truck. I don't ever remember them doing a model of the 72 version of USA1, thats why I'm doing my own version...

USA-1's headquarters is about 12 miles from my house. I have seen the newer trucks out in the parking lot on occassions, but have not seen the older one lately. Maybe I could stop by and ask about the model kit for you one of these days.
IIRC, there was in fact a model kit, but I have not seen one in a long time.

AMT had a monster truck 71/72 Blazer kit back then, too.Around 1984.I built it in the clors of the one I owned at the time. Can`t find it amongst my stuff in the attic. The cool thing was,it came with all the parts to build it stock. So,it was actually a re-issue of the original plus monster truck parts.I`v been looking for either one for years, along with that USA-1 kit.Good luck.If I find one ,I`ll let you know.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW I can't believe someone is willing to pay $50 for it!! I should have spent all of my money buying models as a kid - I could retire now!!

Mudder, Yep that's the one. The Blazer kit I think was called "Boondocker". I have seen it on occasion. Thanks for the links, might turn into something.

I have seen both the USA-1 and Boondocker trucks on e-bay. I have bid on both of them on several occations...but the price usually ends up being $50 to $60 plus shipping....I haven't won one yet There are 2 boondockers on ebay now..... http://search.ebay.com/boondocker_W0...ectZ1QQfromZR8 you'll see what i mean about the price..... and there are no older usa 1 trucks that i see at the moment but there are a couple of the newer ones.....
