we`ve had some pretty a$$y weather here lately. if it`s not raining i`ll be out there this weekend. i`ve been working all last weekend $35hr. holiday pay. i also had to build a crate for an engine i sold on ebay to ship out. i`m seriously debating on keeping it. i`m gonna rob the goodies for my good ride of course. i`ve got a buddy that just built a 350 and has a perfect, runs like a sewing machine, 305 he said i could have for 100 bones. i might make a beater out of it , or sell it running again i don`t know yet.

Well, like I said, if it hits the road, it needs brakes.
Other than that, it made a kick ass beater, and it looks just cool enough to turn heads. |

Like I mentioned to you, that TH350 that is hanging from the hoist has less than 50K on it...probably more like 30. Complete rebuild, nothing old except the case. 1900 stall B&M converter too. How did you like the dope smokin old man's tranny extention mount? (fairly new poly tranny mount too)
If you didn't notice, the eng/tranny was in slightly crooked. you probably noticed the dope smokin old man's extended shift linkage. All you need to do is replace that linkage with an unmollested one and position the motor mout towers properly, and then it'll sit straight. Can you believe it didn't eat u-joints like that? |

it`ll be alright. one of the motor mounts was pretty chewed up too. i see you put header gaskets on like i do (manifold ones) those are the best ones. that tranny was easy to pull with that homemade mount. i didn`t have to pull the x member either. usually i can pull an old engine in 30-45 minutes but it took an hour 1/2 or so because i left everything really easy to hook back up an labeled it all. i hope i get this engine soon so i have a winter ride to bum around in.

yeah...I forgot about that messed up mount. It was pretty kerfagled huh?
Might be easier to just pull the pan on this engine and toss some bearings in it. It seemed to run OK considering I didn't tune it one bit. Fires right up, revs fine... |
