I THINK LUV2XCLR8 MEANT THAT IOT WAS TOO BAD HE LIVES SO FAR AWAY. BUT ANYWAY THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN SITTING IN MY BACKYARD FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS, UNTOUCHED SINCE I BOUGHT IT, EXCEPT TO STORE JUNK IN. I'VE STILL GOT AT LEAST THREE TRUCKS AHEAD OF IT, SO EVEN IF I WORK EVERY DAY, ALL DAY, I'LL BE AT LEAST TWO YEARS AWAY. TIME TO ADMIT THAT I'VE GOT TO MANY PROJECTS & GET RID OF SOMETHING. IF I DON'T FIND A HOME FOR IT I'LL PART IT. I HATE TO CAUSE IT'S KIND OF A RARE TRUCK. IT'S THE HEAVY 3/4 TON MODEL (7500 LB GVW) & I BELIEVE G.M. MADE LESS THAN 1600 IN 1968 IF THAT MEANS ANYTHING. JOHN

THIS PANEL SPENT ALL OF IT'S LIFE(TILL I WENT TO PICK IT UP) IN CALIFORNIA, SO IT HAS MINIMAL RUST FOR A 36 YEAR OLD TRUCK. I'M NOT SURE IF THE MOTOR & TRANS IS ANY GOOD OR NOT. I WAS GOING TO REPLACE BOTH OF THESE ANYWAY, SO IT WAS A NON-ISSUE WITH ME. $600 IS ALOT LESS THAN I HAVE IN IT. I DON'T USSUALLY MESS WITH TRUCKS THAT HAVE ANY RUST AT ALL, BUT THIS IS KIND OF A RARE BIRD. JOHN

Hey John,
Nice project! I thought you left the snow behind when you left Michigan. It looks like you have more than we have had. Jim |

John, if you end up parting out, or just want to get rid of the better barn doors, I'd be interested. TJ

Just in case anyone's thinking of this, and can't figure out how to get it home, remember that John has a pretty nice '69 tow truck. I'm sure he'd think about delivering it a short distance.
:-) wouldn't ya John? Piper |
