Anyway of Converting a Auto Tilt to a Manual Tilt??

Can the auto shifter mounting collar be replaced with a manual tranny collar?? Thus ending up with a 4spd tilt column??

Another way is to find any 1968 Pontiac Bonneville.. Firebird.... Olds.. Delmont 88.. Cutlass.... or Chev Impala..Chevelle... Camaro.. that came with the console mounted shifter.. (or a 4spd car).. and just swap the shifter collar and the turn signal housings.. ( a bolt for bolt swap)... then cut off your lower shift lever remove the neutral safety switch and jumper across... Viola.. You have a truck 4 spd tilt...
Yes the 1968 Vintage GM cars are not real plentiful anymore.. but they made bunches of them with that option.. They are way easier to find than the factory truck tilt... In fact of the hundreds of trucks I have owned in the last 25 years.. I have only had two with the factory floor shift tilt..

I guess that works too. I have a auto tilt with a loose pivot pin and I want to run a TALL Lokar shifter.
I was wondering if you could change the whole collar with something you can presently buy??
