88+ Tilt Steering Column question

Hey guys!

Since I am going with EFI (and therefor electronic cruise control), and the bearings are going in my 80's tilt column, can a guy bolt a tilt from an 88+ truck in? It has that comfy steering wheel, have the lights and wipers in the column (my wiper switch sucks) and has the proper switch for cruise control in it. I'm sure it will physically bolt in, but will the steering shafts fit, or will I have any problems with clearances anywhere? Wiring is not an issue

I dont think it will bolt right in .. But with some submodifcation it could.

The plate that bolts it to the floor is different im sure .. You could cut the plate off and then use the lower hardware off yours im sure.
