Air Bag info

Im am going to do bags on the back of my Blazer. I checked out SuicideDoors and AirrideTech. Looks like Suicide Doors has better prices. But Im not sure about which bags I need. Inoticed that there are different styles of bag. Is one style better then the other. They also carry three different brands. Airlift, Firestone and Contitech. Is one brand better then the others. Im going to start out with just bags on the back and fill with shraders as needed. So could you as much help as possible.

well each bag has different load capacity and height range. It kind of depends on where you are going to mount the bag, what kind of ride you are looking for, how much lift you want, etc... Typically in a leveraged or over the axle setup people run a double convoluted bag. Example Airlifts 2b7 which is a 2600lbs bag. I like to run sleeve bags in the rear of some trucks doing a behind the axle setup since they offer more lift and are rated for a weight which is a little closer to the back of the truck. Like I said it just depends on what your looking to do.

I personally like and use Airlift bags. I've ran them on all of the trucks I've done work on. Contitech's are also really nice and I stay away from Firestone's all together but that is just a personal preferance.

A simple setup would be to do a over the axle setup or a leveraged setup off the trailing arms using a 2600lb bag or Airlifts 2b7 or Contitechs 2600lb.

I used CCPs bolt on C-notch it was really straight forward install. I have firestone rear bags but don't use them. I'm going to go with AirLifts GenII Extreme Duty they compress smaller, and have more stroke than most bags. Just throwing the bags between the trailing arms and the frame with firstone bags they are at full compress and the rear end is barely touching the bump stops, I plan on relocating them, so I need a bag that compresses smaller.

Also I highly recommend Early Classics extended pan hard bar, and there shock relocators.
