WTT: LT1 for 700R4
Hey guys, I have an LT1 shortblock from my 1994 Camaro for trade. I need a 700R4 in good condition, for my 1970 C10 pickup. The shortblock has original 119,xxx miles, and was running on removal. It is stock with no work ever done on it. I had to use the brackets, etc. to put the new stroked LT1 back in my car... Thanks Dwayne

hey dude made it home fine. Took forever, the truck was fish-tailing when I would go over 35 mph, so I had to take it off and reload it. But, after that, it was smooth sailing all the way home. I moved some stuff around so that I could put it out of the weather, and I'll probably get to start on it Wednesday. Thanks for the help, and I hope that the motors work out well for you. PS, the guy that was with me is gonna go to UTI, and they are gonna use my 94 Z28 as the project car for the class. They plan on around 600+ BHP! They will have it for 15 months, then I get it back (cannot wait).
I decided to go with a Harley-Davidson paint scheme on the truck. I figure if Ford can have a Harley-truck, so could Chevy... I just gotta try and find some Harley wheels for the Chevy.

yes, gonna be LT1 based. I bought the block (stroked LT1) from a Dallas Speedshop. I believe they are gonna go with the LT4 head/intake and 383 LT1 bottom. Other than that, I have no info, except it won't cost me a dime!!!!! They provide all the parts, except the block (just because I had already bought it). It is a 6-speed car. Black with black interior, black powder-coated ZR-1 wheels.

I believe they are 9.5 in front and 11 in rear. They barely tuck under fenders.

What's kewl is I originally got this car for $1300 about 5 months ago. Some kid put it in shop and couldn't afford to get head gasket fixed, cause he was still paying the note on it. The shop called a tow company and they impounded it, until they could get title (it still had a lien from a bank on it)! They sold it to me for the storage fees! And I got a lien-free title because due process was served to the bank and prior owner! How cool is that?!
