need welding help...
Anyone near westminster maryland that might be willing to help me weld in rocker boxs and end caps in my 72 4x4 blazer. Outer rockers are already in. I have the parts, I even have a mig welder w/ gas mix, however I don't want to screw this up. I want to do right the first time. Please no smart@** coments. Thank you.

The end caps bolt on. If you can't find anyone to help it isn't really all that hard to weld them on, you don't have to run that long of a bead, 1" at the most. Just crank up your welder and keep the wire speed fairly low. Practice on some scrap first.

If you're uncomfortable with the long welds, use short spot welds to start with...
Then go back and make longer ones. Just be sure it's not continuous or you may get warpage.
