68 C30 hydraulic clutch options

my buddy has a '68 C30 with a big block and SM465 out of a 77 C30 dually. he's looking to put a hydraulic clutch in it. i can find a hydro bellhousing for it, so the bell, slave and everything wont be a problem. has anyone here done this type of swap? any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Yukon Jack attempted it, aborted, and i bought his pedals. they ended up going in my buddy's '84 K10. you can see em in action in next month's Fourwheeler, in the Real Truck Challenge coverage.

Nope, I went with this setup, I just didn't use the pedals from the donor truck. I used the 69's pedals.

I used the master cylinder, slave and bellhousing out of a 1989 2wd 1 ton (old body style) Used that truck's bb engine also. The old body style master is mounted angled to the firewall and I had to build a shim to get it more level. When I replaced the master cause of a problem I found out the new body style master is not angled and would not have needed the shim. The bolt holes are slightly different so I just went ahead and used the old body style master as my firewall was alread drilled. The new body style and old body style slave is also use slightly different bolt locations by the way.

I reinforced my firewall as I am using the hydroboost brake setup and the hydraulic clutch.

Here are some pics.

I cut the push rods on both masters and threaded them. Then I used yoke style rod ends and clevis pins to attach the rods to the original pedals.

I considered using the 89's pedals but that would have been very difficult to do. Was very simple to just drill holes and use the existing pedals.
