Selling/Question/Choices

I'm curious,
If a guy was to sell his blazer which way would bring more $$$?
Modified or Stock? [EDIT] Modifed, meaning nothing wild just usual stuff.
I went to great lengths to make my interior totally factory/stock, just because I like it that way but now I'm thinking that all I'd need to do was replace the lift & wheels/tires to make it ALL stock/original. Would stock/original get a better price?
Here's two early pics (prior to trim) one is real (lifted) and the other has gone through the photoshop.
Just really curious as to which version would sell better?

From an ROI perspective, modified nicely sells for nice $$$ much quicker then a pure stock restoration. Put some shiney mags on it with good rubber, an tweek the interior to look really choice then put it in some swap meets and you'll get $$$. A pure original restoration costs tons and limits the # of buyers significantly. Just my experience.

If you have all the original parts and don't have to buy anything, I say puy it back to stock and sell the parts separate. You probally get 1/3 of the price you paid for aftermarket parts if they are installed whereas if you sell them separate, they'll fetch more money 9 times out of 10. If you put $25,000 into a truck you'll be lucky to get $12,000. Just my 2cents.

I'd definitely pefer it in it's current state, as opposed to the skinny factory wheels and tires.

I personally would think that if you put it back to stock and trailered it to the swap meet/car coral in Carlilse, Pa in the spring, you could fetch a darn good buck for it. Hard to find a "restored stock" blazer but you can always find a modified one... I have seen some big bucks marked on trucks there...

You could always sell the modified parts...

How about somewhere in between. Maybe 4" lift (or less) with 32x12.50x15 AT tires with nice refinished 6-lug ralleys with new center caps and wide polished trim rings. IMHO the best of all worlds and look outstanding.

Number 1 is number 1 with me. Hard to believe you would want to sell that super Blazer. This is very baffling, pinch me, I must be dreaming!

Not really thinking about selling it, just curious which way was worth more cash if I ever did sell.
Unfortunately this blazer has turned into a 'garage queen' and being the whole reason for getting a blazer in the first place was to go on some of those trekking trips with other groups/families, it seems that's not going to happen with this one because I won't take it off-road.

So now I'm thinking I need/want to build a 'trail rig' that's meant just for that purpose and as everybody knows, to do it right takes lots of cash money.

Some will say "use that one" My answer would be NOPE, not even an option.
It deserves to stay 'pretty' forever.

Good sensible comment there. However, I look at it this way. This board is a microcausim(sp) of the real world and everybody here appreciates a stock original (even if the intended result is to customize it) and most everybody picks apart wildly customized rigs for one reason or another. A wild custom rig may fetch a higher price but the market appeal will be small (the very word custom denotes personal preference). A potential buyer would have to have the exact vision as you in order to "love" it. A stocker may bring a smaller price tag but will have wider appeal.

That being said, your Blazer is not a wild custom and most everybody will lift a Blazer and add aftermarket wheels anyway (fools ). So what you've done will probably bring you no more $$ or no less $$ than putting it back to stock for resale purposes. However putting it back to stock would make me smile
