73, 74, and 75 had a full removable top. The late 74 and 75 roofs were a little stronger, as the seams in the roof overlapped a little bit. The biggest downside to one of these trucks is that they are very prone to rust.

Yeah, I would have to agree that the worst thing with them is they tend to get really rusty, Good Luck on find one. I think '75 was about the last year of the full removable tops.

the 73-75's are hard to find. but if you want a full convertible, you can also do what a lot of other people, including myself, have done, or are going to do....just convert a 76-91. just get the windshield frame and hard top from a 73-75, cut the cab off, and windshield frame off about halfway down, and put the older one on. then either modify the newer doors to match, or find 73-75 doors. but you'll also need to put in a full cage to stiffen it up.

thats kinda what i was thinking, but i aint a good welder. or i was going to get a 73-75 then buy a 76-91 and cut out the patch panels i needed, either way i need to buy two to get what i want. then i also have to buy a big block 3/4 ton 4x4 truck and merge the two to finish my dream
