Suspension or New Wheels?
Which one would you do first? I have 15's on it now. If I could get some larger wheels to fill the wheel well I don't think I would lower it anymore. It has 4 inch drop springs on the rear. Take a look at the pic.

Maybe this will help you figure it out.
The first is just lowered the second is with the tires/wheels about 15% larger. This would be about a 17" wheel and proportionately larger tire to go with it. |

I'd take it down to the 4/6 level and then add bigger rollers if you still aren't happy.

Call the guys at ECE and talk to them before ordering from anyone. Last time I ordered, they had a killer sale going on and the prices were as cheap as anyone else out there and I still got the top notch parts I wanted.

Thanks Longhair, I didn't mean to turn this into a photoshop thread, but I really appreciate it. I like the one where you made the wheels 15% bigger, but the problem is that my wheels stick out now so I'm afraid that they will rub.

Change the off-set when you get your new wheels and pull them in a bit. Then they won't stick out.

Here's a pic of mine with the stock suspension. I just finished getting my 17's on. The previous owner put new springs in the front and rear. My point? I thought the bigger wheels/tires would fill the wheelwell more (like you) but as you can see, it just lifted the truck up more. Needless to say, I'll be ordering some 2.5" spindles and probably 1" springs for the front and some 4" springs for the rear.

purs,... That is an EXCELLENT picture. Most people this the BIGGER wheels will fill up the wheelwells and solve their problems. I like them lowered with stock or bigger wheels. Thanks for the post,... and make sure we see the "after" pics.
