Pics of Crewcab shortbeds???
Show me what you've got! I love the gold and white Crewcab but $49500 is just way out of my price range. I've been thinking about making a 80's crewcab with a short bed but I am not sure how hard that would be? There is a 2 wheel drive crew for sale locally but that would be a lot of work to make it 4 wheel drive with a short bed, Anybody try this before? I am thinking Crewcab shortbed with a 6 or 8 inch lift and 35-36's?

Here is my buddy's truck that he built from a 3/4 ton and a 1/2 ton.
The pictures were before he had it completely finished. He's driven it for a year or so now, and it's currently getting torn down for a 2wd conversion and deep drop using spindles, springs, and flip kit.

Hey TxFF, that is a nice truck your friend has. How hard was it to convert from a longbed to short? I am a firefighter here in Hawaii probably just as hot in Texas as it is here? The reason I want to build a 4X4 instead of a slammed 2wd is because I would sell my Crewcab Toyota Tacoma 4X4 to finance the project and would need a 4wd again.

Thanks for the pics! The gold and white one is my all time fave, wonder if it sells at that price? The Red one is sweet also, that is the first time I've seen it!

Last weekend , I was in SE Kansas/ SW Missouri and found a 76-ish crew cab SWB 2wd that had been converted to 1/2 ton...looked like an abandoned project....too bad the trailer was full....
