67-72 layin rocker pics

Just like to see some pics of some 67-72 trucks layin the rockers on the ground. I am thinking about doing it to my 71 c10. Can you also list everything you had to do to it to get it to lay rocker? If I just put some 2600# firestone bags on an all stock truck, how low will it go??

Thanks for everything,

Travis

Yeah, I know it's not "laying" rocker. This is as close as it needs to be in my opinion....

ghetocrewzer, what all did you have to do to get your burb that low?? Like I said, I am new to this just trying to find out how much work I am looking at to get my truck that low. What is your ride height on that burb compared to stock?? And N2TRUX, I agree that is all the lower that I really need to go, do you know what all was done to that?? I doubt if I have enough time/money to do all the work to my truck to get it to lay rocker. I just want to be pretty low.
Just figured that I would put a couple of pics of mine so you can see what I am starting with. Not as clean as your guys cali rides, but not a bad start for $400.

I cut my crossmember down 1.5" and am runnin upper bag plates with no lower cups, 2.5" dropped spindles, custom tierods, and rerouted steering shaft. The rear is just boxed original trailin arms, 12" monster notch, and custom panhard bar soon changin it to custom 2 link with wishbone third link.
Looks like u got a good one to start with to me mine was much ruffer when i started just been pluggin away and still gotta long ways to go on rust repair LOL

Do you have any pictures that will walk me through how to do a crossmember cut?? Or any websites that will show how to do it?? How hard is it to do, and what tools do you need?? Sorry for all the questions, but I would like to learn this stuff and try it myself if at all possible. I feel that I am pretty mechanically inclined, and I am not really afraid to try anything new. my uncle has a couple parts trucks that I can take the crossmember off of and try it on that first. That way if I mess it up I won't be out a truck. Was the full 12" notch really needed, or is that just what you chose?? What did you have to do with the floor then?? Your website said that there is no body drop...that's great. I have heard that you can get shorter mounts and do a body drop that way and then it is good enough to lay rocker...I may do that too, but I would have to mount the bumper a little lower also right??

Thanks

Travis
