Bump stop removal

is it ok to remove the bumpstop on a daily driver like in the picture. it will have a 2 1/2" drop spindle and 1 1/2" drop spring.

Not really, steel on steel and if you bottom out it can tear the suspension up, it would let it go past designed limits. You can trim them down if you need more clearance.

I always remove the rubber and leave the steel base part on the arm. It gives the spindle steering stop a place to hit when turned to the lock.

i cut mine off flat with the arm and then drilled a hole in the a arm and bolted Energy Suspension bump stops in there place !!!! the Progressive Suspension ones are 1/2 inch higher than the steel mount itself with the rubber part not on it !! seams to work fine so far , they have been on there since last spring or so
