Ya - that's pretty much what it'll be. There's some issues there that'll need to be taken care of. Just at first glance I noticed some rust/bondo work on the bottom of the doors, appeared to be from several years back. Rockers need to be replaced and the bed has a few cancer places. For the most part though the floor seemed pretty solid. I hadn't got to really go over it just yet.

Thanks guys, I'm certain I'll be asking lots of questions as time goes by. Just haven't had to deal with rust issues before so it'll play to be interesting for certain.

Just spent an hour or so going over the truck. Engine compartment hasn't been touched - even most of the stickers are still there. There is however, quiet a bit more rust than I was hoping for. The rocker panels had been changed out at some point in time but who ever did them didn't get 'em on exactly straight because there's bind in the driver door closing. Cab corners will need replacing as well some attention to the lower fenders. Pretty much expected so over all I can't complain. It also has a quadrajet that is about as cold natured as can be. I have an almost new holley, but will the manifold need changing or is that a direct swap? Thanks for all the input fellas.

Definetly a nice looking truck. I know that we are supposed to be admiring the truck but that is the style of car trailer I want. Was it a 3 car or 4 car hauler.

It was a three hauler, it had two brandnew Jaquars sitting up front. The 'ol boy (retired trucker) pulled it with a 3/4 ton dodge cummins, said he hardly new it was there it pulled so well. I think we talked about that trailer at least for a good hour, full winch set up for vehicles that doesn't run.

My dad hauls classics, mostly bringing them in for restoration for our business. We used to run to Florida every March, hit Disneyworld, then bring two back, one on the truck and one on the trailer. We are currently in the process of building a new hauler, a 1952 International Cab over on a new low pro chassis with a 21' deck with a two car trailer behind. Also we just bought a Dodge 1 ton with a Cummins that I want to buy a 3 car hauler for, then in theory we could haul 6. I am looking forward to Hershey PA this fall, cause that should be the new trucks maiden voyage stateside.

This is the style of trailer that I want, it is big enough to haul a larger type truck, like a C-50 which I want to restore next.
