FOR SALE: Complete pullout 350 from 71 camper special
i have a complete pullout 350 engine (air cleaner to oil pan) it needs rebuilt, but was running when pulled.
so if anybody is trying to restore a (i think it was a c10 or c20 camper special) this would be perfect. trilogyz28@hotmail.com |

Welcome to the board! I'm sure a camper special would be a 3/4 ton, but that doesn't make a difference in the engine. Listing engine numbers is helpfull so people can verify the year and application... engines have a way of being replaced over 25 years. The board requires a seller of parts to list asking price so a thread doesn't become an auction too.

Casting Date
Small block casting date is located on driver side rear of block on flange forward of bellhousing. Big block on the right side of engine above the oil pan rails. Casting Date Example: E038 - (E = Month, 03 = Day, 8 = Last digit of model year (1978)). Month: A = Jan, B = Feb, C = Mar, D = Apr, E = May, F = Jun, G = July, H = Aug, I = Sep, J = Oct, K = Nov, L = Dec #'s left rear casting # 3970010 front right deck stamped # K09 03 TBA Confused about these numbers. Casting # is used for many years. K is Nov. 09 is the day, TBA says either 70 or 71, but 03 doesn't seem to work for the year. Am I reading it wrong? |

I have a 1/2 ton with 3 tanks and the camper hold downs and heavy duty coil springs. What would be the option # on glove box door? Thanks Man, stay warm. Has your blood thickened up yet?
