Question manual to auto conversion questions

I currently have a 4 speed manual tranny and I'm thinking about converting over to an automatic. How many of you have done this? How did it go? Seems like I might be better off looking for another rig that's already an automatic. Any experienced input will help.

this is an easy conversion... if you can find a donor truck that has all the parts, makes it easy cuz you can see how it all goes together, lots of people on this board have done it, you'll have plenty of help if you decide to do it...

I've never done it, but the conversion would be easier than going from auto to manual......As mentioned above, it would be cheapest and easiest to find a donor truck for the swap.

Get the radiator, transmission, cooling lines, flexplate, driveshaft, tranny mount, and column.....I'm not sure, but the exhaust might route a little different too.
