Cool Got my first patch panel!!!!

Yea, yea, big deal huh? It is to me! I've had this beauty for years and for me it's a real sign of progress. Of course taking off the fenders and the other tinkering has been work (and progress) but this patch is the first step of things that have really been on the hit list. One of the guys (maybe Tim?) aimed me at this guy on Ebay. He makes custom patch panels for those hard to find areas. Emailed him and he flat fixed me up!
Super nice guy.
Check out my site listed below for the new folder "Body Work" in the Pictures section.
I'm pumped!!!!

I see that you are in League City, do you know if Billy Norwood of Pasadena Texas is still selling parts? I do not see him listed where I first found him and I have not been out to visit his shop in about 6 months or so.

The guy is Pasadena, Texas on 3014 Dedman Just outside of the beltway near Spencer. 281-487-9313. He has a large shop behind his home with a good selection of parts for old trucks. I found his prices a little higher than some of the online dealers but it is nice to have someone nearby. I gave him a call and looks like he is still selling stuff. I got much of my interior stuff for my 1950 from him but he carries stuff for other years as well.

Thanks! I'll definitely have to check him out. We don't see to have too many parts vendors down here. If we do, they don't let themselves be know very readily.

Got the bad section cut out tonight. Looks like the new piece will go in reasonably OK. I'll have to weld the joggle to the new panel, trim and then hold in place for a little more cutting. I can't (won't) try to weld the new piece in until I get some gas for the MIG. I'll get it gas on Monday but, will be on the road again all week and won't get back until Saturday. As much as I'll want to run out to the garage on Saturday to put the panel on....kids and wife come first (but I will sneak out there on Sunday )
I'll post pics of the cut out tomorrow.

He's still there last time I drove by there. He is a little bit high but once you figure shipping when buying it out of state and what not. Hey 3100 if you ever need any bodywork help let me know. I live in Deer Park and have everything to do bodywork. I used to do it for a living before I became a bodyshop manager years ago.

We have a warehouse full of 47-72 new sheetmetal in Arlington Tx. Most customers drive down and pick it up so they can inspect the quality.

Cool! I just got back in town and found out what my bonus from work was going to be. I'll definitely be getting some patches from you soon!
Thanks,
