BB points Dist to HEI - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I want to change the points dist. out of my 402 to a HEI Dist.
what year application wil fit the easiest.late 70's,80's?are ther any clearance
problems with the 402 ?what should I look for?

Any pre-computer HEI, the ones with the 4 wire connection. BB or small block HEI will fit, they are all the same. You may want to have it "curved" for your application. As long as your BB is in a 2wd and in the stock location, you'll have no firewall clearance problems.
