3/4 ton verses one ton brake ??

I know on the front drums, they are the same from a C/20 to C/30.
How about the 71/72 disc brakes...are they the same from one ton to 3/4 ton?

Asuming you had a rolling chassis with discs, and a drum truck with no front clip and motor removed, would swapping the cross member be the best way to do it (like on the 73 & up swap on 1/2 ton trucks) or would there be any reason to want to take it all apart and just transfer piece by piece?

Andy, I have both a 3/4 ton and a 1 ton 72 disc brake trucks. I can personally only speak for 1 ton dually trucks though.

I've been told the spindles, calipers, and pads are the same between the two trucks. The dually front brake rotor is a huge thing with the spacer cast into it. The spacer is not removable. The 3/4 ton obviously does not have the spacer for the offset dually wheel.

I swapped entire crossmembers on my truck to get the dually suspension. It's just easier for me to do it that way.
