clutch shaft question

I know this question has already been asked but I need to know how to make the clutch pivot shaft work when I have changed from a 250 three speed to a 350 with the three speed. The 350 does not have the casting or the bolt holes for the pivot ball thanks dave ps pictures would be great

I ran into this problem one time. The ball screws directly into the block. I had to drill and tap the engine block. Scarry stuff.

ok I look at that last night by the way oldchev4x4 thanks for the help there is a casting that is threaded right accross from the frame point. Since I am not going to use the original six cylinder setup ever again can i take apart grind and thread one more thing the clutch shaft seems to be pretty close between these to points. then my son and i started to fit the headers into this area might be a problem thanks dave

I had to screw the ball in, then install the header , then install the Z bar clutch linkage. The arm on the Z bar would hit on the header when the clutch was pushed in, so i cut it off and welded it on where i needed it. Hope this helps.
I think the ball is different for a V8.
